MyPostcode Community is the data controller for personal data processed through mypostcodealerts.com. Contact: mypostcodesuport@gmail.com.

Account data: your email address (used for passwordless sign-in codes), the display name and postcode area you choose, and your subscription status. Usage data: pages viewed and basic device information, stored where possible on your own device. Optional data: push-notification subscription tokens, if you turn alerts on. We never ask for passwords or card details by email.

To provide the service and sign you in (contract), to show you local content and alerts (contract and legitimate interest), to process payments and prevent fraud (contract and legal obligation), and to improve the service with aggregate statistics (legitimate interest). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Hosting and database: Emergent (cloud infrastructure). Email delivery: Resend (sign-in codes only). Payments: Wise (bank transfer) and Stripe (card payments) — payment details are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies; we never see your full card number.

Data is stored on secured cloud servers. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Community posts and marketplace listings expire automatically (14 days). Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data, and object to processing, by emailing mypostcodesuport@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use local storage on your device for essential app functions (your session, your checklist and preferences) and, with your consent, optional analytics. No advertising trackers are used.
